" WOODSTOCK VILLA " MOVIE SYNOPSIS

The film is about a NRI, Sameer (Sikandar Kher) who comes to India to find lady love with Indian culture and actual intent to have fun. He gets himself entangled into web of abduction which is plotted by Neha Uberoi (Reshma) and her married boyfriend Arbaaz Khan (Jatin). The movie is quite suspense, till one knows that the plot is to save Jatin from his wife’s (Zara) murder. Reshma turns Zara and reaches to Sameer to kidnap herself, convincing him that she needs to check the fidelity and love of her businessman husband Jatin. The kidnapper calls the businessman for a hefty ransom in return for releasing his wife. Well, before the arrangements can be made the lady is found dead and following is a climax with re-appearance of the same lady (Reshma).

" TASHAN " MOVIE SYNOPSIS

A daringly different treat, the movie is set on a different backdrop which looks very much real. The story is about the bad guy Bhayyaji (Anil Kapoor) who has this strange penchant for learning English and flaunts his style in his own way. For this, he seeks the help of call centre executive Jimmy (Saif Ali Khan) who is reluctant to do so but then thanks to the intelligent and beautiful Pooja (Kareena Kapoor), he takes up the assignment and has a tough time trying to be a teacher to a don. In this process, he falls for the pretty Pooja and love happens. However, things don't look so straight as they seem and as a result of some unexpected twists and turns, the don Bhayyaji gets angry while the slick Jimmy gets deceived in a game of double crossing. All this apart, there is another character Bachchan Pandey (Akshay Kumar) a professional hit man who is set for a particular job of tracking a target and eliminating it and in the end he becomes the target. What follows is a roller coaster ride of action, high voltage drama and sentiment which can be enjoyed by watching it.

" SARKAR RAJ " MOVIE SYNOPSIS

When Anita [Aishwarya Rai Bachchan], CEO of Sheppard Power Plant, an international company, brings a power plant proposal to set up in rural Maharashtra before the Nagres, insightful Shankar [Abhishek Bachchan] is quick to realize the benefits the power plant can bring to the people.

After convincing Sarkar [Amitabh Bachchan], who is against it for various reasons, Shankar undertakes a journey along with Anita to the villages of Maharashtra to mobilize support from the masses.

However, things are not what they seem to be and Shankar's dream project gradually becomes a political minefield. The evil forces, mightier than ever, mushroom and gang up to bring down the regime of Sarkar and obliterate Shankar's name from the political horizon.

Ugly aur Pagli: Movie review and download links

Ugly aur Pagli is a film that perhaps makes a conscious effort to be different but in the process ends up being vague and mindless. Was it a romantic comedy? Not really because the humour didn't come across and the chemistry was never established. Was it a chick flick? Maybe in the last ten minutes but by then even the girls seemed uninterested.

Rather this one seemingly explored a female-dominated master-slave relationship between the lead pair though without any sexual overtones to it (despite Mallika Sherawat's presence). In absence of the sexual gratification, what kept this masochism ignited remains a mystery. In fact the girl keeps slapping the boy ceaselessly and for strange reasons the makers believe that each spank is laugh-inducing. The boy sustains his submissive side, unconditionally and unreasonably and without any self-defense or self-respect. This one is a case of no sex - only violence.

Kabir (Ranvir Shorey) is raised by his parents to a certain age as a girl. Perhaps that has made him somewhat sissy which could be the only explanation why he allows himself to be dominated by the kinky and quirky ways of an obnoxious girl Kuhu (Mallika Sherawat). So Kabir ends up wearing high-heeled ladies sandals, riding cycle without seat and moving around the town in a petticoat. It's puzzling why he takes Kuhu's crap because there's no incentive involved. Kuhu hasn't confessed love. In fact she is even averse to the idea of kissing. What interests her is writing grotesque futuristic scripts which she wants Kabir to sell to Bollywood banners like Yash Ram Films. Ironically Mr Yash Ram Chopra is modeled as Pritish Nandy, the producer of this film.

Half ways through the film you are still unable to make sense of the story. Kabir attempts to analyze the scenes with his nonstop voiceover in the backdrop throughout the film as if it were the director's commentary on a special DVD edition. But even that doesn't help. And despite its 8-reel runtime, the movie tends to drag monstrously.

Suddenly the film sobers down with a flashback account to justify Kuhu's absurd attitude which isn't acceptable though. The culmination is as much deceiving as much as the pre-climax scene where it shows Mallika Sherawat in a salwar suit (yes, you read that right). As the film ends with the much prolonged and practiced smooch scene, you feel that Mallika Sherawat has arrived. At least in the sense that she started off with 17 smooches in one film and today offers one smooch after 99 slaps.

The film tries too hard to be funny but the gags falls flat at most occasions. Moreover the sluggish pace and the non-existent storyline literally test your patience. And why the hell did they make Ranvir Shorey dance to typical Bollywood tracks? The actor appears absolutely uncomfortable and clearly can't dance saala. Of all the stupid spoofs that the film attempts, the only one that works is when Sushmita Mukherjee attempts to impersonate Sharmila Tagore. Ranvir repeats his loser act but to good effect. Even Mallika Sherawat is bearable this time till the point she attempts emoting.

A friend asked me if I would recommend the movie and my reply was Mallika's favourite line from the film "marna hai kya?" Ugly aur Pagli lives up to its name. It's an utterly 'unappealing' film that will make you go 'mad'.

Janaradhan Wishvanbhar Rane (Paresh Rawal) a widower has spent his life bringing up his two kids Chirag (Manoj Joshi) and Gaurav (Akshaye Khanna). Janaradhan has done everything for his kids to bring them up in the best possible manner, ever since they were toddlers. Now when the duo has grown up, Gaurav takes up the responsibility of his father. They both manage the household chores and their business to the best of their abilities. Though he is the younger son, he treats his father like his son. Gaurav is on guard with the vigilance of a disciplined parent. He shouts, threatens, and fights - even locks up his father occasionally so that his prankster best friend Madhav Mathur (Om Puri) who is a divorcee, desperate to get married, does not spoil him.

Madhav and Janaradhan who are always in search of a bride for Madhav forever land up in trouble and every time Gaurav has to bail them out and face the embarrassment.

Gaurav busy managing his business starts getting prank calls from a girl who turns out to be his old college friend Sheekha Kapoor (Genelia D'souza). Sheekha is staying with her guardian Anuradha (Shobana) who is also Janardhan's first love.

Gaurav and Sheekha notice changes in the behavior of Janaradhan and Anuradha when they come face to face after many years. They come to know about their past relationship. Now Gaurav wants his father to get married to his lost love.

Gaurav and Sheekha embark upon a rib-tickling journey to arrange his father's love marriage and in the process find soul mates in each other. Of course, the path is not so smooth: there are obstacles. But then, Madhav's desperate desire for a bride comes handy. How this trio tries to arrange Janaradhan's and Anuradha's love marriage is a fun ride to watch.

" SIRF - LIFE LOOKS GREENER ON THE OTHER SIDE " MOVIE SYNOPSIS

A metro-centric story, the movie is about four couples with different sets of problems, the first couple (Kay Kay and Manisha) have got all comforts in life but what they lack completely is the love for each other, on the other hand there is another couple (Parvin-Rituparna) who have everything but trust for each other, then there is the third pair (Ankur-Nauheed Cyrusi) who have loads of love for each other but then not enough money to make their dreams come true, last but not the least there is the fourth pair (Ranvir Shorey-Sonali Kulkarni) who have money, wealth, love and everything but they do not have the time to spend with each other and bloom the relationship. As fate would have it, the couples encounter each other at some turn in life and everyone thinks that the other's life is going great guns while they are in the gutter. The truth is none of them is better off and everyone is in the same boat without knowing it. What happens in the end? Is there a solution to all this? Will there be one couple atleast who come out with smiling faces? All this forms the rest of the story.
